301 Redirect Map Generator for Shopify Migrations
301 Redirect Map Generator for Shopify Migrations (Free CSV)
Paste the URLs of your old store and the URLs of your new Shopify store. The generator matches them, flags every pair it is not sure about and gives you a CSV in the format Shopify imports: Redirect from,Redirect to. It is free, with no signup and no email. Everything runs in your browser, so your URLs never leave your computer.
It knows the URL patterns of WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Squarespace and Wix, and Shopify-to-Shopify moves, so an old /product/blue-shirt/ finds the new /products/blue-shirt on its own.
How to use it
-
Add your old URLs. Paste your old
sitemap.xml, a plain list of URLs or a CSV export from a crawler, Search Console or GA4, or drop the file. Up to 5 MB. - Add your new URLs. Paste the child sitemaps of your new Shopify store (products, collections, pages, blogs) or upload the Shopify product export CSV. Up to 25 MB.
- Review the matches. Exact matches are marked Matched, likely ones Check with a similarity score, the rest No match. Edit any target, accept a suggestion and decide where unmatched URLs should go.
- Download the CSV and import it in your Shopify admin: Content > Menus > View URL redirects > Import.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your URLs are never uploaded or stored.
1Old store URLs
Paste URLs one per line or the contents of your old sitemap.xml. Full URLs or paths, up to 5 MB.
2New Shopify URLs
Paste the new store's sitemap files or a list of URLs, or upload the Products / Collections CSV export (we read the Handle column).
Import in Shopify admin: Content → Menus → View URL redirects → Import, then choose the file. The CSV uses Shopify's columns “Redirect from, Redirect to”, with old paths written without the domain.

Shopify redirect map: questions and answers
How do I import the CSV into Shopify?
In your Shopify admin go to Content > Menus > View URL redirects, click Import and choose the downloaded file. The file has two columns, Redirect from (an old path without the domain) and Redirect to (the new page).
Are my URLs uploaded anywhere?
No. Reading the files, matching and building the CSV all happen in your browser, and the tool sends none of your data anywhere. That makes it safe to use on a client's store before launch.
What happens to old URLs with no match?
They are marked No match and are left out of the CSV unless you choose a target. You can send them to the homepage or to a collection, but do it sparingly: Google can treat many unrelated pages redirected to the homepage as soft 404s. A discontinued product usually belongs on its closest collection, or can simply return 404.
Why are some old URLs missing from the CSV?
Shopify cannot redirect from paths that start with /apps, /application, /cart, /carts, /orders, /services or /shop, or from /products, /collections and /collections/all themselves. It also redirects only broken URLs: if an old path still opens a page on your new store, the redirect will not fire. The tool leaves such rows out of the CSV and explains each one in the full report. Squarespace product pages live under /shop/p/, so on a Squarespace move they need a redirect outside Shopify, for example a Cloudflare redirect rule. We set that up as part of a Squarespace migration.
Does it handle redirect chains and duplicates?
Yes. A chain A to B to C is exported as A to C, so every old URL reaches its final page in one hop. Loops and redirects to the same page are removed, and old URLs that differ only in letter case or a trailing slash are merged into one row.
How big a store can it handle?
Old URLs up to 5 MB and new URLs up to 25 MB, which fits large Shopify product exports. Matching 5,000 old URLs against 5,000 new ones takes about a second.
Which platforms does it understand?
WooCommerce (product, category and dated blog URLs), BigCommerce (category, brand and old .html product URLs), Magento (.html URLs and catalog/product/view addresses that include a slug), Squarespace, Wix and Shopify-to-Shopify moves. The platform is detected automatically, and you can also pick it by hand.
Need the whole migration done, not just the redirects?
A redirect map protects your rankings, but it is one step of a migration. MILEDEVS moves stores to Shopify end to end: products, customers, order history, the theme and a 301 for every indexed URL, while the old store keeps selling until the domain switches. See our Shopify migration services or the platform guides for BigCommerce to Shopify and Squarespace to Shopify. A recent example: GELBLASTERSHOP, a Danish webshop we moved to Shopify from DanDomain.
