Shopify Migration Services — WooCommerce, Magento & Wix to Shopify

MILEDEVS migrates stores from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix and Squarespace to Shopify with zero downtime and no SEO loss. A typical migration takes 2–4 weeks and includes products, customers, order history, 301 redirects and a pixel-perfect theme rebuild — handled end-to-end by a Shopify Select Partner agency.

Replatforming is the highest-risk project an ecommerce store ever runs: do it wrong and you lose rankings, order history and weeks of revenue. We've done it enough times to make it boring — a checklist-driven process where your old store keeps selling until the moment the new one takes over.

What we migrate

  • Products & variants — including images, metafields, SKU structure and inventory levels
  • Customers & order history — so returning buyers keep their accounts and you keep your data
  • SEO equity — full URL mapping with 301 redirects, meta titles/descriptions, schema markup re-implementation
  • Design — pixel-perfect rebuild on Online Store 2.0 (or a redesign, if your current theme is part of the problem)
  • Integrations — email (Klaviyo/Omnisend), reviews, subscriptions, ERP/fulfillment connections

Where we migrate from

Platform Typical timeline Hardest part (we handle it)
WooCommerce → Shopify 2–3 weeks URL structure & blog redirects, plugin feature parity
Magento → Shopify 3–4 weeks Complex catalogs, B2B price lists, custom attributes
Wix / Squarespace → Shopify 1–2 weeks Design rebuild, keeping content pages indexed
Custom / legacy platform 3–6 weeks Data extraction & transformation via Admin API

Our migration process

  1. Audit & mapping (days 1–3). We inventory every URL, product, app and integration on your current store and produce a migration map you approve before anything moves.
  2. Staging build (week 1–2). Theme rebuild and data import happen on a private Shopify store while your current site keeps selling.
  3. Redirects & SEO (week 2–3). Every old URL gets a 301 to its new home. Meta data, schema markup and sitemaps are verified against the old site.
  4. Parallel QA (week 3). We test checkout, shipping rates, taxes, emails and integrations against real scenarios — on desktop and mobile.
  5. Cutover (1 evening). DNS switch during your lowest-traffic window. Old platform stays frozen as a fallback for 30 days.

Zero-downtime guarantee: your store never stops taking orders during migration. The switch itself is a DNS change, not a rebuild-in-place.

Migration FAQ

Will I lose my Google rankings when migrating to Shopify?

Not if redirects are done properly. We map every indexed URL to its new Shopify equivalent with 301 redirects, carry over meta titles and descriptions, and resubmit sitemaps. Most stores see rankings recover fully within 2–4 weeks, and often improve thanks to Shopify's faster page loads.

How long does a Shopify migration take?

Simple stores (under 500 products, standard features): 1–2 weeks. Typical stores: 2–4 weeks. Large catalogs or B2B setups with custom pricing: 4–6 weeks. You'll get an exact timeline with your estimate.

Does my store go offline during migration?

No. We build the new store in parallel on a staging environment. Your current store keeps selling until the DNS cutover, which takes minutes and is scheduled in your lowest-traffic window.

Can you migrate my order history and customer accounts?

Yes — products, customers, orders, discount codes and gift cards all move over. Customers receive a one-time account activation prompt on first login (a Shopify security requirement), and everything else is seamless.

What about my apps and integrations?

During the audit we map each plugin/integration to its Shopify equivalent — and frequently replace 3–4 paid plugins with native Shopify features, which lowers your monthly costs after the move.

Do you work with Shopify Plus?

Yes. For high-volume stores we migrate to Shopify Plus and implement Plus-only features: checkout extensibility, B2B price lists, Launchpad and automation via Shopify Flow.
